Joe O' Paddles

Thought I'd throw this up here as a topic for discussion. With so many paddling companies changing hands over the years and some of them going offshore to China, the quality has dropped in many cases.

Anyone have issues over the years with any particular lines or models of canoes or kayaks? Feel free to post here and let people know.....same for other pieces of camping gear for that matter. Bring it on!

Well, while doing my daily tritual of surfing a few of the paddling sites I came across a blurb about Lendal Paddles, a once premium line of sea kayak and whitewater paddles from the UK.

Awhile back they were bought out by Johnson Outdoors in the USA, same company that bought Necky Kayaks a few years ago and also owns Old Town Canoe, Extrasport etc.

After buying Lendal, quality dropped and they all bought ruined the brand and are now trying to sell it off. Latest rumour is that Nigel Dennis may be one of the ront runners to taake over this once fine brand.
