   The expedition to reclaim the speed record for sea kayaking around Vancouver Island is now less than a month away. Bought the ticket tonight to head out west to BC next month. Getting pretty excited about the expedition!

We have recently come out with a new product, the Transitional Stick (T-Stick for short). This project was suggested by triple gold medalist at the 2008 Greenland Kayaking Championships Helen Wilson when she phone me up in the spring of 2010 with her idea for a new product for me to add to my offerings for progressing from the standard roll towards Norsaq or Hand Roll. The end result, the new Transitional Stick, T-Stick for short, is the end result. Sales have been brisk since it appeared in a recent issue of Sea Kayaker Magazine with inquiries coming from all over North Ameria as well as Europe.

 A couple photos of a trio of new paddles ready for sale. Left to right in each photo they are:180 cm Non-Shouldered Storm Paddle. Entire paddle is coated with several coats of epoxy and then varnished. Center paddle is an ULTRALIGHT Greenland Paddle, coming in at just a mere 23 ounces. It is 204 cm in length with a 19" loom.  Paddle on the right is a 178 cm Storm Paddle, Shouldered, several coats of epoxy and then varnished. Rolling Sticks, similar to Norsaqs but without the actual harpoon launching attachments and features,  are now available for sale. Email me for specs and/ or custom orders. Prices are from $49.00 and up. Built of laminated western red cedar (nd sometimes some pine or eastern white cedar mixed in as well) and finished with either varnish or tung oil.  Fiberglass wrap also available. 

A full carbon fiber version is also in the works.
